Who We Are

The Emerging Markets Forum was created as a not-for-profit initiative to bring together high-level government and corporate leaders from around the world to engage in dialogue on the key economic, financial and social issues facing emerging market countries. The EMF hosts one global meeting and several regional meetings every year.

The Co-Chairs of the Forum are Masatsugu Asakawa, President of the Asian Development Bank; Michel Camdessus, former Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund; JIN Liqun, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank;  L. Enrique Garcia,  Former President and Chief Executive Officer of CAF – Development Bank of Latin America; and Hiroshi Watanabe, President, Institute for International Monetary Affairs.
