Strategy 2050: ‘Kazakhstan 2050: Toward a Modern Society for All’ Book Presented in Astana

Today, presentation of the book “Kazakhstan 2050: toward a modern society for all” was held in the framework of the 47th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank at the Palace of Independence in Astana.

“This book is essentially a continuation of the idea that was expressed by President Nursultan Nazarbayev, speaking of the Strategy-2050 in 2012. All government bodies selected Nazarbayev University as the place where the book will be prepared, and we decided to create a team of international experts, which includes about 250 experts from different areas of expertise in developing and developed countries in terms of economy,” President of Nazarbayev University Shigeo Katsu told.

According to him, the key conclusion of the book was the recognition of the high probability of Kazakhstan’s joining top 30 developed countries by 2050. The authors note that “Kazakhstan-2050” vision is unique in its scale and courage.
