Irene Gibson is a Research and Project Associate at Centennial Group. Though her area of specialty is development in the Middle East, she has a multidisciplinary background. Gibson has worked in the US, UK, Germany, Kuwait, Jordan, and Lebanon, and she has specifically conducted fieldwork in the US, Jordan, Kuwait, and Germany analyzing development strategies and policies. Gibson’s work has been published numerous times, and she has presented to diverse audiences in international conferences, academic gatherings, and youth events in the US, Europe, and Middle East. She additionally has experience working for NGOs in the US, Germany, and UK, and the UNHCR in Kuwait, supplementing her analysis with a practitioner background.
Gibson holds an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford, and a BA with a triple major in International Studies, Political Science, and Arabic from Macalester College. She was a Fulbright Researcher in Kuwait 2015-2016.
