Asian Development Bank Knowledge Hub On Public Private Partnerships

The Asian Development Bank has designated the Emerging Markets Forum as the Policy Hub for Public-Private Partnerships in Infrastructure Development in Asia. It is one of the seven hubs being supported by ADB and is the only one devoted to infrastructure.

The long-term goal of the Knowledge Hub on Infrastructure PPPs is to be the premier source of knowledge and data on infrastructure development in Asia. The Hub provides definitive data and information on the state of infrastructure development (coverage, service quality, and efficiency), investment and financing at regional, sectoral, and country levels. The Hub also facilitates knowledge sharing by commissioning and disseminating case studies of experiences within both the Asian region and other parts of the world. Finally, the Emerging Markets Forum at its regular meetings—which bring together top policy makers, business leaders, and officials of major international institutions—organizes discussions on related topics.

The papers presented at Forum meetings are widely disseminated through the Forum's own free-standing publications and will also be distributed in books that contain all the papers prepared at individual Forum meetings. Related papers presented at the 2006 (Jakarta) and 2007 (Montevideo) Forum meetings are available on this website, and papers from the former will appear in the book to be published in March, 2008.
