The Participants of the Emerging Markets Forum:

Are drawn from the highest strata of the private and public sectors.

Enjoy comparable international stature and thus constitute a peer group.

Bring extraordinary experience and expertise to the issues being considered.

Are invited by name as individuals.

Are willing and able to use their influence to implement conclusions.

Are a mix of permanent participants (who ensure continuity) and participants
invited to specific meetings (who bring exceptional knowledge of specific
issues.)

Are present at all meetings during a Forum, and attend without staff.

Represent their personal views rather than official positions.
The inaugural Forum in December 2005 was attended by some 60 private and public
sector leaders from emerging market and OECD countries who were invited to
attend in light of their interest in and expertise in its subject matter.
Although they approached the Forum with contrasting views about building
capital market institutions and managing foreign capital inflows, all
participants agreed to use the Forum's conclusions as a basis for action in
their respective spheres of influence.
Management

The development and direction of the EMF is guided by an Advisory Board made up
of senior leaders from the private and public sectors and academia. The
